Cranberry preserves

12-oz. bag of fresh cranberries, rinsed zest and juice of one orange 1 cup sugar 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, and cut up into small pieces
|
On extremely low heat, bring cranberries, apple, orange zest, and orange juice to a boil. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Allow to boil for at least 30 minutes. Off the heat and allow to cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
