Green Biryani
Coriender and mint flavoured biryani
Basmati Rice - 4 cups
Lamb Meat / Chicken - 1 KG
Coriander Levees - 250 Gms
Mint Leaves - 250 Gms
Onion - 3 medium sized
Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
Garlic paste - 1 table spoon
Salt to taste
Oil / Butter / Ghee - 1 cup
Clove + Cardamom + cinnamon Powder OR Indian Garam Masala- 1 teaspoon
Curd - 1 cup

Wash the Lamb / Chicken and make medium size pieces. Add Ginger paste, Garlic paste, Garam masala and curd. Add Salt.
Keep it aside for 15-20 minutes, now cook it in medium heat and covered till the meat is tender. If it is lamb you have to cook it more time. Chicken will take less time.

Sieve the meat pieces and keep them aside and take out the stalk. Measure it to 7 cups. If it is less add more water. If it is more boil it to reduce.

Chop the onion and fry till golden brown. Add in the cooked meat.
Wash the rice and drain the water. Fry the rice for 5 minutes then add the meat. Add the stalk.

Make a paste of Coriander and Mint leaves and add salt to taste. You can also add green chilies in this taste, if you love it hot.

Add the green paste on rice and cook it covered for 20 minutes approx on low flame. Check that the rice is cooked.

Serve it hot with Curd.
