Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp

8 oz. uncooked angel hair pasta 6 large, ripe tomatoes, peeled and coarsely chopped or 3 cans of diced tomatoes 10 garlic cloves, minced (If you really like garlic, use 20 cloves) 1/2 cup olive oil 24 medium or 12 really large raw shrimp, shelled and deveined 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, coarsely chopped salt and pepper

Cook pasta according to directions and drain well, but do not rinse.
Saute garlic in olive oil over medium-high heat for about 1 minute.
Add shrimp and cook for another 3 minutes.
Add tomatoes, salt and pepper and simmer for 10 minutes, uncovered.
Toss in pasta and basil. Serve with salad and crusty, Italian bread.
