Rotini Spangles

|
1/3 box rotini pasta 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 can or bottle prego spaghetti sauce, mushrooms and peppers flavored 2 chopped green peppers 1/2 yellow onion chopped 1/2 carton medium sized white mushrooms, chopped (optional) 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tsp. basil 1/2 tsp. rosemary or italian seasoning 1 bay leaf, optional salt and pepper, to taste

Brown ground beef in skillet, drain on paper towels and set aside.
Put water and salt to boil in large pan on stove. When boiling, cook rotini according to package instructions.
Warm pasta sauce according to instructions in medium saucepan.
In meantime, chop vegetables according to instructions.
Mix meat, 2/3 chopped vegetables and all seasonings in with pasta sauce, continue simmering.
Drain pasta, rinse with warm water.
Put pasta on plates, cover with meat, vegetable and sauce mixture.
Serve with bowls of salad.
Use some of the leftover chopped vegetables in the salad! makes 3-4 servings
