Texas Spaghetti A Spicy Version of the Original |
1 lb. ground meat 1 pkg. spaghetti noodles 1 jar spaghetti sauce, chunky or smooth 1 medium white onion, chopped 1-5 Tbls. or more Tabasco, or other hot sauce Seasoning (garlic, salt, pepper, white pepper, oregano, basil, etc) Dash of olive oil Parmesan or mozarella cheese Serve with a salad and garlic bread
In a large sauce pan, brown the meat and set the water for the noodles on to boil. Drain and rinse the meat, this takes away a lot of the fat and greasy taste. Add seasoning to meat, after it's rinsed. I add a ton of garlic. Once brown, add spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, hot sauce, and onion to the meat. Bring sauce to a boil, add more garlic and hot sauce if you dare! Once the sauce boils, allow it to simmer until the noodles are ready. After the noodles are drained, add just enough olive oil to keep the noodles from sticking together. Sprinkle with cheese and enjoy.
