Butter Pie (Poor Mans Pie)
Used to Make a Cheap Pie by Grandmother |

3 Tbls. flour
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbls. butter
1 1/2 to 2 cups milk
prepared pie crust

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg in crust.
Add butter in small pieces. Top with milk.
Bake about one hour.
This a recipe has been handed down for generations in my family. When it cools, it has a coating of sweet milk. Refrigerate or allow to cool to room temperature.
