2-4 oz. butter 2 cloves fresh garlic, finely chopped 1/4 lg. Vidalia Onion, course cut 4oz sliced Shitake mushrooms 3-4 Center Cut Pork Chops 16oz. Beef Broth 4oz Beer, optional Pinch of Salt 2 pinches course Ground Pepper 1 tsp. Balsamic Vinegar 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce 2 tsp. flour
|
Melt butter in a saute pan on medium heat. Add garlic, onions, mushrooms, salt and pepper. Saute until onions just turn translucent.
Add pork chops to pan and seer both sides. DO NOT FULLY COOK! Remove and set aside, leaving everything else in the pan.
Pour in beef broth (reserve 4oz for later use), beer, worcestershire sauce, & balsamic vinegar. Reduce mixture by 1/3 or 8 minutes, stirring constantly.
Mix flour with cool reserved beef broth and stir it into the pan. Let thicken slightly, maybe 5-8 minutes.
Return pork chops to the pan, reduce heat to LOW and cover to finish cooking the chops, stiring, moving and flipping occasionally. I like mine tender, so I don’t over cook them. It’s up to you how well done you like your chops.
Uncover, let sit for 2-4 minutes and serve.
I served mine with homemade mashed potatoes and Green Beans.
