Beer Can Chicken Roasted Chicken |
|
|
2 Tbls. paprika 2 Tbls. salt 2 Tbls. pepper 2 Tbls. brown sugar cooking oil one small fryer or roaster chicken 1 16oz. can of beer - I use Budweiser
|
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Open can of beer and pour out about 1/3 of it. Poke a few holes in the top of the side of the can with a knife.
In a bowl, combine salt, pepper, brown sugar, and paprika. Take some of the paprika mix and put into beer can - do this in a baking pan, because contents will fizz and overflow.
Trim and wash chicken and remove any giblets. Take some more of the paprika mix and sprinkle inside of chicken.
Place chicken onto beer can placed in baking pan, as though chicken is standing up. (Do not use regular sized beer can or else chicken will fall over.)
Rub chicken with some cooking oil and then sprinkle remaining paprika mix onto ckicken evenly.
Bake approximately 2 hours or until temperature is reached or juices run clear. I cover with a foil tent until the last 1/2 hour or so.
Juicy and good!
