Le Ingredients: Some cut up chicken parts, legs or thighs or breasts any parts you know your guests will eat; Large bottle of ginger ale; large jar pasta sauce (Ragu or Barilla or anything you like); carrots, onions, red potatoes cut up, as many as you like. Note: This versatile recipe can also be a fabulous way to cook sausages / spare ribs / stew meat, or just about anything.
Soak chicken in a handful of kosher salt and water, 8 hours or more if possible.
Fill pot with ginger ale and jar of pasta sauce. Put in chicken and /or meat. If not covered completely in the pot, add more ginger ale or water. Add the carrots onions & potatoes. You can add sausages or other meats together either with the chicken or instead of chicken, if you like.
Bring to Boil and then turn down to medium. Cook for about an hour and a half. If using a pressure cooker, of course, you can cook for shorter period of time! Serve with noodles, and a salad or vegetable on the side. Bon apetit! Your friends, relatives & mob associates will love this recipe!!!
