Louisiana chicken stuffed cabbage
cabbage stuffed with chicken and rice
15 leaves of cabbage
1 whole chicken
2 cups rice
2 table spoons butter
1/2 cup veg oil
pepper
salt
1 tablespoon lime hot sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon parsley seasoning
1 onion
1 green pepper
3 clove garlic
1/2 cup of white flour

 

cook cabbage in hot boiling water till soft (10 min)
boil chicken for 20 min and break apart till have very small pieces.
put veg oil in cooking pot and let it get hot on med or even lower heat. like ur cooking a rouge.
place half the onions and green peppers and all of the garlic. fry till almost dark brown. dont burn.
than slowly add flour and make sure u are moving the flour around, so it wont burn. do this at low heat.
after 10 minutes of doing this add chicken and add spices and seasoning. don't forget the hot sauce.
add some of the tomoto sauce till you make a paste with everything.
add cooked rice. only enough to have a nice paste.
take the chicken mixed with rice and stuff in cabbage.
than in a big pot place the remander of cabbage on bottom. than rice over it, than the cabbage stuffed with chicken and rice over that.
place the rest of the onions and peppers on top. add more of the seasoning and salt and pepper to taste. add butter, and rest of the tomoto sauce.

after all is added, add the water and let sit for 30-45 min. on low- med heat. enjoy.
