Angelos Authentic Marinara Sauce Delicious Summer Sauce |
1 large can whole peeled San Marzano tomatoes 4-5 cloves garlic 4 leaves fresh basil salt pepper water 3-4 Tbls. olive oil
First, pour out your tomatoes in a large bowl, add about 4 leaves of basil, torn to the tomatoes, and salt and pepper, to your taste.
Crush the tomatoes with your hands until all are squashed but still a little chunky, set aside.
Add 3-4 Tbls. olive oil to pan, let it get hot and then add about 4 or 5 cloves of garlic, do not chop garlic just hit with the back of the knife and smash the cloves and add to oil, when the garlic is golden brown, add 3 to 4 more leaves of basil, this time chop the basil and then add to the oil, and fry for a minute.
Add your tomatoes, stir and combine, add a can of water to the tomatoes (use the tomato can) combine, and let cook for 30 minutes, stirring ocassionally.
Serve over any pasta of your choosing, I prefer a long tubeish kind of pasta.
