Cranberry-Pear Sauce
Cranberry sauce accented by pears.
250g fresh cranberries
2 fresh conference pears (diced)
Juice of one orange
200g of brown sugar
200ml of water
Dash of cinnamon


 

Add all ingredients (except for pears and cinnamon) to sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add pears and continue to cook for 5-10 minutes. Add cinnamon and remove from heat. Allow sauce to cool down for a while before serving.

Can be refrigerated or frozen and reheated before serving.

Can be served with roasted duck, turkey, goose or chicken. Also goes great with sponge cake.
