DRY FISH STEW
Dry Fish in Tomato and Spices
500 grams Dry Fish (Seer Fish or Mackerel).
200 grams of Refined oil.
1 cup finely chopped Onions.
4 Finely chopped Tomatoes.
2 spoons Ginger-Garlic paste.
3 spoons Red Chilly powder.
4 Chopped Green Chillies.
1 Spoon Turmeric powder.
2 spoons Mustered seeds.
1 cup Finely chopped Coriander leaves.
Salt to Taste.

 

Cut the dry fish into medium size pieces. Soak them in lukewarm water for about thirty minutes and clean thoroughly. Apply ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder and two spoons of oil to the fish pieces and marinate for forty minutes.

To a frying pan add oil and heat. Add chopped onions, tomato pieces,red chilly powder, Green chilly pieces and mustered seeds and fry well. Add the marinated dry fish pieces and fry again until oil separates. Add one cup of water and sufficient salt. Cook until the preparation is done. Top with chopped coriander leaves.

SERVE WITH RICE AND WHEAT PAN CAKES.
