8 cups chicken broth 2 cups water 2 cups milk 1 pound crinkle cut french fries 2 cups smooth peanut butter 2 cups diced carrots 2 cups diced potatoes 2 cups golden raisins 1 Tbls. salt 1 tsp. black pepper
|
Prepare french fries according to package directions and set aside.
Combine broth, water and milk in large soup pot, slowly bring to boil.
Add salt and peanut butter, stirring frequently until the peanut butter is melted.
Add carrots, diced potatoes and raisins, cover and simmer for one hour.
Toss in the french fries and serve immediately. Make sure each child gets several of the crinkle cut fries (the gator tails) in his/her bowl.
This makes a very nutritious dish for kids and they absolutely love the idea of eating Gator Tail Soup. Serve with grilled cheese sandwiches or corn muffins. Adults love it too!
