Special Garlic Soup
Soup With Garlics And Tamrind
250 Grams of Garlic
100 Grams of Tamarind
100 Grams of Refined oil
100 Grams of Red gram powder
2 Spoons of Soup powder*
2 Spoons of Mustard seeds
1 Spoon Turmeric powder
6 Lengthwise split Green Chillies
Salt to Taste
Curry leaves

*Soup Powder- Take 1 small cup of Coriander seeds, half cup of Cumin seeds and quarter cup of black peppers. Grind them into fine powder and store in a air tight bottle. Use as and when required.

 

Soak the Tamarind in warm water for about 15 minutes and extract the thick juice. Keep it aside.
Roughly smash the garlics.

Take 4 cups of water in a vessel, add the red gram powder and smashed garlics to it and boil. Now add the turmeric powder and Tamarind juice. Continue to boil on low flame for about 15 minutes.

Saute mustard seeds, green chillies, Curry leaves and some garlic cloves. Add them to the boiling soup. Add salt and two spoons of soup powder, boil for another two or three minutes and remove the vessel from the flame.

Serve with hot rice!
