Stewed Vegetables and Meat (Japanese) Niku-Jaga |

4-5 potatoes, peeled and diced 1-2 onions, diced 2 carrots, sliced 1 cup frozen green peas 1 pound beef or pork, cut into thin strips 2/3 cups soy sauce (or more) 3 Tbls. sugar 1 Tbls. sweet sake wine (if possible)

Saute the meat lightly in oil.
Put all the vegetables except the green peas into a deep pan. Cover them in water. Stew for awhile until the vegetables are cooked well. Pour in the soy sauce and sweet sake wine. Add sugar to coordinate the taste, (if its salty, please put more sugar in).
Add the frozen green peas, when you turn off the heat.
Serve and enjoy a delicious Japanese meal!!
