Garlic Bulb Olive oil Thyme Salt and pepper
|
Remove outer leaves of garlic. Cut off top of bulb so that each clove is open at the top. Drizzle teaspoon of olive oil over bulb. Sprinkle thyme, salt and pepper to taste. Place bulb in Garlic Baker Stoneware or small bread loaf pan. Cover with stoneware domed lid or pan with foil. Place in cold oven. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove cover & bake an additional 45 minutes or until garlic is tender and husks are golden brown. Baste occasionally with olive oil. When roasted, garlic takes on a sweet nutty flavor. Roasted garlic can be served whole. Each clove can be broken off and pressed out as a spread onto bread. Or can be added to sauces and salads.
