Cheesy potatoes

2 cups frozen hashbrowns(southern style) 3/4 tsp. garlic salt 1 cup sour cream 2 Tbls. melted butter 1/2 cup chopped onions (optional) 1 can cream of chicken soup 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 cup cornflakes cereal

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, let potatoes thaw slightly and break apart, spread in a rectangular pan (2 1/2 quart).
2. Saute onions 2 minutes. Mix onions, garlic salt, soup, sour cream and shredded cheese. Spread in pan. Put cornflakes on top then drizzle butter over cornflakes. Bake 35-45 min. or 90min. If recipe is doubled for a 9x13 pan, don't double garlic salt. Enjoy!
