Deep Fried Onion Rings Great Redneck Beer Recipe! |
Vegetable Oil for frying 1 cup all purpose flour 1 can or bottle beer 1 pinch of salt 1 pinch of black pepper 4 large onions, sliced about 1/4 inch thick and punch out rings.
If you do not have a deep fryer, use a large deep skillet. Pour in about a quart of cooking oil and heat to 365-375 degrees F. If using a skillet use a candy or kitchen thermometer to check temperature. Lower heat will allow for too much oil saturation.
In medium bowl, combine flour, beer, salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
Dredge onion slices in the batter until evenly coated. Deep fry until golden brown and drain on paper towels.
Enjoy!
