Hot German Potato Salad Uffda |

6 potatoes 6 slices bacon 1 onion, chopped 1/2 tsp. celery seed 2 Tbsp. flour 1 tsp. black pepper 2 tsp. salt 2 Tbsp. sugar 3/4 cup water 1/3 cup vinegar
|
Boil the potatoes till tender with the skins on. Peel and dice. Fry the bacon and drain most of the grease. Brown onion in bacon grease. Blend in the celery seed, flour, salt, pepper and sugar. Cook over low heat stirring till smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat, stir in 3/4 cup water and 1/3 cup vinegar. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Stir in potatoes and bacon cover and reheat for a couple minutes. Turn off heat and let rest for 10 minutes.
