Sorghum Baked Beans
Baked Beans Using Pure Sorghum for Sweetness!
1/3 cup diced celery
1 small onion, diced
3 Tbls. chopped green pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 Tbls. bacon fat
2 1-lb. cans pork and beans
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup catsup
1/4 cup pure sorghum
1 Tbls. prepared mustard
1/4 tsp. liquid smoke (optional)

Fry bacon and remove from grease.

Saute vegtables in bacon fat until tender.

Combine all ingredients and mix well.

Pour into lightly greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Cover and bake at 400 degrees F. for 25 minutes or until heated through.

Sorghum is a natural sweetener with a very unique flavor. If you can't find pure sorghum at your local store, you can find it online if you search for it on Google or Yahoo.
