UPMA
A cracked Wheat Recipe
3 cups of finely cracked Wheat ( Bombay Ravva ).
100 grams of Cashew nuts.
250 grams of Clarified Butter (ghee).
100 grams of Bengal gram.
Salt to Taste.
2 spoons mustered seeds.
3 spoons finely grated garlics.
3 large Onions- cut into pieces.
1 bunch of Curry leaves.

Take 2 spoons of ghee in a frying pan and fry the Bombay Ravva to slightly brown. Keep it aside.

Add 5 spoons of ghee and heat. First fry the cashew nuts to brown. Add mustered seeds, Bengal gram, chopped garlics and the onion pieces and fry until onions turn brown. Finally add the Curry leaves.

To the above, add 6 cups of water and enough Salt and wait until the water boils. Add the Bombay ravva slowly and carefully so that no crumples are formed. Keep stirring as the preparation gradually thickens. Add the remaining ghee and go on mixing the stuff untill it is cooked well.

SERVE HOT WITH ANY SAUCE.
