Hi - just found this place and it looks like a fun and informative group! No questions or input yet, just want to introduce myself.

Why Ethnic Hash?...because I love trying all kinds of food - both eating and cooking  - and because my personal style of cooking is the result of the culture clash of having one English and one French parent, with a dash of Cajun and Scots thrown in for good measure.

Thank you for the welcome!

A little more about me - I am no expert, but have experience dealing with special diets, especially gluten, egg and dairy free. I am trying to modify and develop new recipes that adhere to these restrictions, as it seems most specialty cookbooks don't adress all three at once. I still love to cook "normal" food for my friends and family though - and eat it too.

Well if you have some really good "normal" recipes why don't you post a couple for us to try. I am also sure that you could post some of your specialty recipes as I am sure there are many people out there who would appreciate them.

..... there's probably a place for some specialty stuff. I bet if you talk real nice to Joy she'll setup a specific category for them. Right, Joy?

We already have one,it's called miscellaneous. If you can't find something then that's usually the place to look.
